How Clovr Cards turns giveaways and big pulls into new buyers

Giving away a $1,000 card sounds like a loss. Clovr Cards treats it as an ad. They film the big moments on their Whatnot stream, post them as Shorts, and those clips bring new viewers back to the stream. That loop is a big part of why they can sell six figures in a single day.

The giveaway

Clovr Cards gave a viewer a free pack on their Whatnot stream, and the viewer pulled a card Clovr valued at $1,000. They clipped it and posted it as a Short titled "I PULLED A VIEWER A $1,000 CARD FOR FREE?!". That one clip has 383,000 views.

The $1,000 is Clovr's own estimate of the card, not a sale price.

What one day of sales looks like

We recorded one of their Whatnot shows on 6 October 2026. It ran about 19 hours.

Clovr Cards, one show
Length19 hours
Sales we captured$137,466 gross
Per hourabout $7,235

Viewersmedian 304, peak 928

In the video we round this to "about $110K in a day", an estimate based on average price and volume. Our own capture of that show came out higher. Either way, it is gross sales, not profit.

The marketing flywheel

The pattern is simple:

  1. Big moments happen on stream: a huge pull, a giveaway, a lucky buyer.
  2. The moment becomes a short clip.
  3. The clip is posted on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram.
  4. People who watch the clip come to the stream.
  5. Some of them buy, and the next big moment gets clipped too.

Clovr does this at scale.

Recent paceabout 4 Shorts a week

Not every one of those Shorts is a stream clip. Some of their biggest hits were filmed at card shows. But many are cut straight from the Whatnot stream, with the same host camera and overhead shot.

Their own chat says it works

During the 6 October show, viewers wrote things like "Btw found yall on YouTube" and "Been seeing some crazy pulls on your YouTube brother". One asked if there was a clip of a big hit from earlier in the stream.

Their giveaways feed the loop too. The free packs were for followers only, and the listing asked people to follow Clovr on all their socials.

What to do in your own shop

  1. Record every show. The big moments only become clips if you have the footage. Our recording guide shows how to set it up once.
  2. Clip the moments your chat reacts to. Big pulls, giveaways and lucky buyers are the clips that travel. Look for the spikes in chat.
  3. Post often, not perfectly. Clovr's recent pace is about four Shorts a week. One clip per show is a good start.
  4. Make giveaways work for your channels. Make entry followers-only, and say where people can find your clips.
  5. Ask new buyers how they found you. If your chat starts saying "found you on YouTube", the loop is working.
